This is what you will do:

Participation in the identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting of non-financial risks including ESG drivers
Organizing the implementation of annual risk control self-assessments by all departments and following up on necessary measures
Supporting the business departments in developing appropriate risk indicators as part of the early warning system and in reviewing and reporting on the risk profile
Regular and ad hoc reporting on non-financial risks and associated operational risk reports and loss events
Participation in the implementation of new relevant regulatory requirements (MaRisk, Basel, CRR, EBA etc)
Carrying out risk assessments and advising the business departments on the introduction of new products, processes or markets
Developing, maintaining and improving risk concepts, guidelines and procedures
Participation in overarching risk controlling topics as well as special topics within the scope of projects etc.
Supporting internal and external audits

You'll bring us these skills:

Master's degree (e.g. in economics, business informatics, (business) mathematics) or a comparable qualification
Several years of relevant professional experience in risk management or risk controlling at credit institutions, with a focus on non-financial risk
Sound knowledge of MaRisk, in particular the concepts and procedures in the context of OpRisk and Non-Financial Risk as well as other regulatory requirements (in particular KWG, CRR, EBA / ECB guidelines)
High level of commitment, self-motivation and resilience
Efficient way of working: Good self-management and a high degree of initiative
Innovative mindset with openness to new technologies (e.g. automation)
You are a strong communicator and have very good Bulgarian and English skills, German skills additionally is a plus
