The Senior AI Engineer will play a pivotal role in transforming early AI experiments—including RAG pipelines, LLM-based solutions, and proof-of-concept models—into secure, scalable, and production-ready services. Acting at the intersection of Data Science and DevOps, this role builds and operates the technical backbone that allows AI prototypes to be evaluated, optimized, deployed, and monitored reliably across our on-prem infrastructure in line with strict IT governance and regulatory standards.

 

This is what you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Helm-based deployment frameworks for AI and machine learning services running on on-prem infrastructure.
  • Package, deploy, and operationalize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications, LLM-based services, and other AI workloads as reproducible, scalable components.
  • Run hands-on evaluation, benchmarking, and prototyping of LLMs, embeddings, vector stores, and prompt-engineering approaches to inform production decisions.
  • Develop robust monitoring, observability, evaluation, and automatic rollback mechanisms to ensure stable operations of AI workloads in production-like environments.
  • Build and maintain integration layers (APIs, connectors) between AI systems, data pipelines, and other corporate applications.
  • Support the full AI/ML model lifecycle—from experimentation and validation to production hardening and handover—using DevOps and MLOps best practices.
  • Collaborate with security, architects, and IT operations to align AI deployments with infrastructure, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Assist in extending AI capabilities to governed cloud environments such as Microsoft Copilot Studio or Azure OpenAI where appropriate.

 

You'll bring us these skills:

  • 6–10 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or applied machine learning within a corporate or regulated IT environment.
  • Strong experience designing and automating CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Hands-on experience with Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application deployment.
  • Practical experience with RAG architectures, LLM-based systems, vector databases, and frameworks such as LangChain or similar.
  • Ability to run evaluations, benchmarks, and rapid prototypes of LLMs, embeddings, and AI workflows.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and scripting for automation, orchestration, and system integration.
  • Understanding of on-prem AI infrastructure, enterprise-grade hardware platforms, and hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments.
  • Solid grasp of security, governance, and data privacy requirements in regulated financial environments.
