This is what you'll do
- Create User Stories: Capture business requirements to guide the development team in implementing new or changed functionalities of our banking platform.
- Team Collaboration: Facilitate and participate in articipate in regular meetings with your team to refine requirements, stay informed about progress, and identify any impediments or improvement opportunities.
- Backlog Management: Act as the link between Business and IT, managing the team's backlog and providing visibility on progress and outstanding impediments.
- Higher-Level Planning: Participate in higher-level planning across the department to ensure alignment and strategic direction.
- Translate Business Needs: Convert complex business needs into clear, actionable items and maintain a prioritized backlog.
- Team Culture: Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, ensuring balance between technical excellence and timely delivery.
- Liaison Role: Act as the primary liaison between key stakeholders, including business departments, IT departments, and senior management.
- Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables.
- Process Improvement: Help establish product development processes to enhance efficiency, predictability, and quality.
- Performance Tracking: Measure product/team success through KPIs and track progress of initiatives to ensure commitments are met.
You bring us these skills
- At least 3+ years of proven relevant experience as Product Owner/ Business Analyst/ Product Manager
- Technical knowledge so that you are able to understand our IT landscape and the applications form a high level point of view (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Domain knowledge in fintech and/or financial markets is a plus.
- Experience in managing a team’s backlog – structuring the backlog, refining requirements, coordinating and facilitating estimations and capacity of the team
- Ability to work in a team, establish structure if necessary and make sure the team can always count on you
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (Bulgarian, Dutch or German are a plus)
- You are a pragmatic person and don't like to overcomplicate things
