Shape the user experience
Within DEGIRO we are proud of our award-winning platform. Since day one, we have strived to make our platform better and more accessible for everyone. We do this to achieve our goal; make investing possible for everyone. This is where you, as a Product Designer come in. You’ll be part of the multi-discipline product design team in DEGIRO, working with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that we understand what the users want and build our platform to fulfill their needs. You will focus on the UX design deliverables for DEGIRO’s trading platform and support your peers and the team lead in building the DEGIRO design system and Design Ops.

Your day-to-day work

• Participate in qualitative and quantitative UX research to understand our users' problems and define the potential solutions;
• Facilitate usability tests for new and existing features and execute suggested design iterations;
• Work collaboratively with the product design team, development teams, the Marketing department, and relevant business stakeholders to produce outstanding digital products with intuitive user experiences;
• Balance design-related requirements during the feedback and iteration cycle with stakeholders;
• Create interaction and UI designs from Lo-Fidelity sketches and wireframes to polished Hi-Fidelity interactive prototypes and demos;
• Communicate clearly and concisely through design concepts and details with developers and stakeholders;
• Support the development team in defining the measurement plan for evaluating the performances of new feature releases and iterations;
• Actively review your colleagues’ work and provide feedback;
• Champion design throughout the business, helping non-Designers to understand and value of good designs;
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems and work closely with multiple teams to build designs iteratively.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in UX design in building retail /consumer-orientated digital products;
• A Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in a relevant field (Industrial design, HCI, Interaction design, communication design), or equivalent practical experience;
• Experience in highly regulated sectors. Experience in the financial sector is preferred;
• Experience in collaborating with developers and business stakeholders
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different;
• Experience in both Web and Mobile development;
• Experience in designing for displaying complex information;
• A strong, well-curated portfolio demonstrating your expertise;
• Experience in Design System, as a user or a creator;
• Experience in inclusive design- understanding and commitment to web accessibility, localization and universal design;
• Experience in rapid prototyping in digital format (Axure, Invision, Proto.io, etc.);
• Fluent in UX design and collaborative software (Sketch, Figma, Miro, etc.);
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS;
• Experiences in UX research and usability testing.
