This is what you'll do:
Collaborate with experienced finance professionals to gain hands-on experience in financial accounting, with a focus on supporting the Accounts Payable function.
- Invoice Processing: Assist with reviewing, verifying, and registering supplier invoices in the accounting system.
- Vendor Communication: Support the team in communicating with vendors regarding payment inquiries and resolving basic discrepancies.
- Reconciliation Support: Help the team perform periodic reconciliations of accounts payable records.
- Expense Coding: Support the proper coding and allocation of expenses according to internal guidelines.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
- Compliance Awareness: Learn and follow company policies, financial procedures, and internal controls.
- Reporting Support: Assist the team in preparing basic reports related to accounts payable activities.
You bring us these skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong interest in accounting and financial operations, particularly Accounts Payable.
- Good command of spoken and written English (German and/or Dutch would be considered an advantage).
- Basic understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn, ask questions, and develop new skills.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within an international team.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and reliability in handling financial information.
