What tasks can you expect with us?

• Planning and independently conducting IT audits (including special IT audits) across all organizational units within the bank and the group in accordance with professional and corporate standards
• Analysis and assessment within the scope of IT audits, particularly with regard to the following criteria:
  
  • the functionality, effectiveness, and adequacy of the internal control system within IT
  • the application, functionality, effectiveness, and adequacy of IT (IT systems, particularly hardware and software components, IT processes, network and building infrastructure, data, etc.)
  • the application, functionality, effectiveness, and adequacy of risk management and controlling systems, reporting, and financial and accounting systems with a focus on IT
  • the effectiveness of measures to prevent and detect fraudulent acts with a focus on IT
  • compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements with a focus on IT
  • compliance with operational guidelines, rules, and regulations, with a focus on IT
  • the proper conduct of all IT-supported operational and business processes (organizational structure and workflow) and regulations, as well as measures to protect IT systems and data
• Timely monitoring and issue closure validation of the resolution of identified deficiencies, with a focus on IT
• Independent preparation of informative audit reports, including actionable recommendations for addressing issues (with a focus on IT)
• Discussing and presenting audit results (with a focus on IT) with the heads of organizational units, as well as regularly monitoring their implementation as part of a follow-up
• Supporting the Group Internal Audit management in planning, managing, and reporting on IT audits in the various organizational units within the Group
• Supporting major projects with a focus on IT (IT audits accompanying projects) while maintaining independence and avoiding conflicts of interest
• Advising organizational units on audit-related matters with a focus on IT
• Contributing to the further development of the audit department’s organization and applied audit methods with a focus on IT

What do we want from you?

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science (or business informatics), an apprenticeship as a computer scientist, or a comparable qualification
• Specialized knowledge of IT audit standards, methodologies, and processes, as well as national and international standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT, ISACA standards, Group Internal Audit standards)
• Several years of IT audit experience at banks, financial service firms, or audit firms, or comparable professional experience with a focus on IT,
• Knowledge of IT systems as well as IT-supported operational and business processes at credit institutions/financial services firms is desirable
• Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements (EBA Guidelines, DORA, GDPR)
• Knowledge in Minimum Requirement of Ris Management (MaRisk) is a plus
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written), Dutch and/or German is a plus
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• A high degree of independence and initiative, as well as the ability to express yourself clearly, round out your profile
