Improve Europe’s leading investment platform

The Compliance Department of FlatexDEGIRO operates independently within our organization to minimize overall compliance risk. We assist the first line of defense in relation to their compliance risk management and challenge the first line and function as a safeguard to mitigate any compliance risks which may not have been foreseen by the first line. Additionally, we are also responsible for the Compliance Risk Framework as part of the internal control that ensures that FlatexDEGIRO demonstrably complies with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

The goal of the Compliance Officer is to support the Compliance Department in its daily tasks in line with laws, guidelines, and policies regarding Compliance topics.

This is what you’ll do

• Sparring partner for the business, both in an advising/supporting role and in a challenging role.
• Providing compliance input linked to strategic changes/proposals related to market business and/or its products.
• Create/update compliance risks analysis.
• Participation in projects together with different departments for assurance of compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitoring the effectiveness of in-build controls and reporting on follow-up actions undertaken.
• Mitigation of regulatory risks.
• Creating awareness for compliance risks and the right conduct and culture
• Keeping up with regulatory compliance related announcements relevant for the organization.

You bring us these skills

• Academic degree in finance or Law degree
• Up to 3 years of working experience in financial services
• Ability of understanding European financial legal acts and related to them guidelines (MiFID II / MiFIR / MAD / MAR).
• Understanding of financial market and financial instruments
• Excellent command of the English language is essential
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills combined with strong judgment capabilities
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks supported by the sense of responsibility
• Risk awareness, analytical thinking, sense of responsibility and ownership
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
