We are looking to complete our new team within flatexDEGIRO to help lay down the foundation for ensuring regulatory compliance with relevant regulatory reporting regimes such as EMIR, MiFIR/MiFID II, CSDR and SFTR.
This is an exciting new role with a lot of opportunities attached to it! You will be able to make a difference and see the impact of your work! You will also have the opportunity to learn about, and oversee, the end to end process of our business and how we service our clients.
How? We are a team, and we work as one. You will collaborate with your colleagues and various other departments within flatexDEGIRO, both business and IT, to ensure our platform is future-proof, stable and to take it to the next level. We want to show we are in control and have everything in order. We don't expect you to know everything (who does?). Nonetheless, you must have relevant working experience with at least one of the regulatory reporting regimes.


What you will be responsible for:
•    Ensuring the submission of returns in an accurate & timely manner at varying frequencies, as stipulated by the regulator;
•    Ensuring of a robust control environment by performing key checks and controls proving data completeness and consistency;
•    Investigation of issues and exceptions with various divisions of the firm such as IT, Compliance, Brokerage, Operations;
•    Analysis of upcoming regulatory transaction reporting requirements with respect;
•    Understanding system flows, bookings, financial instruments and assist in technology build as per necessary reporting requirements;
•    Proactively verification to improve workflows, technology, and integrity of reporting information;
•    Coordinate and implement regulatory change and regulatory transaction reporting projects and processes;
•    Focus on daily functional oversight through development and execution of testing and monitoring;
•    Responsible for enhancing and further developing the regulatory transactions reporting architecture and platform which are used to reporting to regulators;
•    Partner with the main departments (e.g. IT squads, Compliance, Risk, Brokerage and Operations) to establish control mechanisms and focus on sustainable enhancements for the different regulatory regimes.


We are looking for you if you have:
•    University degree in a relevant study field (e.g. business administration, legal);
•    Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the banking industry;
•    Working knowledge of at least 1 of the regulatory reporting regimes (e.g. MiFIR/MIFID II, EMIR, SFTR, CSDR);
•    Fluent in English (Dutch or German is considered a plus);
•    Strong financial, analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational skills;
•    Pragmatic, complex problem-solving skills;
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communicator, reliable team player, experienced with working in cross-functional teams;
•    Knowledge of SQL and/or VBA is a plus;
•    Experience with Standard Reporting Tools (e.g. Cappitech, IHS Markit, S&P Global, etc) is a plus.
